Hungarian Chestnut Cake

  • Make the whipped cream simply before serving the cake: In a relaxing bowl with chilled beaters beat the 1 cup heavy cream till it holds smooth peaks, beat inside the 2 tablespoons sugar and the1 tablespoon rum, and beat the combination until it holds stiff peaks. Fold inside the chopped candied chestnuts. Serve the cake with the whipped cream.
